I’m Stefano Schick, a 23-year-old photographer and filmmaker from Brescia, Italy. Photography has been part of my life since I was young, largely thanks to my father, who passed that passion on to me. Over time, it became much more than a hobby and naturally grew into the work I do today. I’ve loved cars since I was a kid, and today I work professionally in motorsport alongside my studies in mechanical engineering, combining my interest in the technical and creative sides of things.
Outside of work, I spend as much time as I can outdoors. I rock climb, go to the mountains, ski tour and go diving. I genuinely enjoy being in these environments, and that connection is a big part of why I’m drawn to outdoor photography and film. I like being out there myself and capturing what makes these places and experiences special.
I’ve also always been curious about the world around me. I love watching documentaries and discovering subjects I know little about, and making them gives me the chance to explore those worlds more closely. From aviation and sport to woodland firefighting, I enjoy understanding what happens behind the scenes and finding the story behind it. Whatever the subject, I want my work to go beyond simply showing what happened and give people a real sense of the experience, the atmosphere and the people involved.
